Research ExpertiseDr. Rebbaa's research interest relates to understanding the biology of premalignant tumors and the molecular mechanism(s) responsible for their transition into full tumors. In particular, the roles of oncogenes and stress-induced epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) and senescence are being investigated in tumorigenesis, metastasis and innate resistance to therapy. Novel small molecules regulators of key signaling intermediates of EMT are under also investigation for anticancer activity.
